1. Ensure all workstations are shut down after hours. This may seem like an obvious way to save electricity, but many companies leave their machines on for patching or remote desktop access. Our desktop management system will not only monitor the cost of your electricity spend, but also initiate shutdowns on machines if they are left on after hours (or after the patching/remote desktop access is no longer needed). This results in a direct saving.

2. Adopting new technology can also reduce your energy consumption by deploying Windows 7/Windows 2008 R2. Both these Operating Systems have a built in feature called Core Parking. In essence it “switches off” individual cores inside a CPU (for instance a single Quad Core processor has 4 cores) which reduces the electricity consumption for the machine.

3. Our 3rd solution utilizes Windows Sharepoint Services which is free for use on Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and higher. This system enables companies to have a feature rich intranet which allows storage of documents, but also capturing of Excel style information into a web portal. Your company could benefit from moving Excel and paper-based operational systems into Sharepoint where workflows will notify relevant parties to creation of items and status changes. 4. Many companies utilize digital invoicing to reduce the need for paper-based systems and to simplify delivery of invoicing via email. This can have a significant cost saving and simplify your billing.
